Tustin Uses Three-Cart Recycling and Organics System, With New Rates Effective July 2026

TUSTIN — November 3, 2026. Tustin’s contracted hauler CR&R manages trash, recyclables and organic waste collection across the city, with updated service rates effective July 1, 2026.

Which cart serves which material

The city’s guidance describes black carts for remaining ordinary garbage and green carts for grass, plant trimmings and food scraps. Recycling goes into the designated recycling container following CR&R’s material guide.

A rate change requires a correct account comparison

Tustin publishes annual rate adjustment notices and separate schedules for residential and other collection types. The exact amount depends on service category, cart configuration and billing conditions.

Where residents can ask

CR&R customer service for Tustin is 714-372-8272. Before paying an unfamiliar invoice, verify the hauler, account address and current rate notice directly with the city or provider.
