TUSTIN, Calif. — A proposed redevelopment of Enderle Center on 17th Street is moving through municipal approvals, with plans combining a redesigned commercial center and housing. The City of Tustin’s current-project records identify the Campo on 17th — Enderle Center Redevelopment and report that the Planning Commission approved the project July 28, 2026.
What the developer proposes
The city describes renovation and demolition of existing structures, new commercial buildings in the northern section of the site and 100 residential condominium units toward the south. The proposal includes two drive-through restaurants and a car wash along with other improvements. These are elements of the submitted project plan, not a guarantee that each proposed tenant or commercial use has been finalized.
What happened in September
The city’s project portal also reports that on September 15, 2026 the City Council approved a proposed vacation of Enderle Center Drive. That action is a step in the entitlement process. It does not by itself show that construction is finished or that every building has received its final permits.
How neighbors can monitor changes
Residents near 17th Street and Yorba Street should review subsequent planning notices, traffic studies and permit records for construction timing and access effects. The city lists project planners and public records through its Planning Division. A proposal that changes the use of an established shopping area may affect different neighbors differently, so precise conditions matter more than a rendering.
